Oak Class – 28/6/2021

This week the children will be working on their own individually chosen projects. They will research their chosen subject in depth and present it to the other children at some point. Most have chosen to do this using Powerpoint.

Maths will continue to concentrate on time and interpreting data for Year 4, decimals for Year 5 and finding the area of different shapes for Year 6. The children will also be using compasses to draw circles and explore different patterns they can make with them.

In PE we will be having some inter- house tournaments this week. This will gain house points towards sports day. Swimming will continue on Wednesday, when children should come to school in PE kit. Some children will be attending Tees Barrage on Tuesday afternoon.

Friday most of the children will be heading off to Robinhood allowing some parents to have some peace at the weekend! I expect many of these children will be very tired at the start of next week!

We will also be practising our production several times this week. The children will also be told if they need any items for costumes this week after we have seen what is already in the school’s vast and comprehensive costume cupboard.

The coming weeks are littered with activities and transition events which means we may need to focus on rehearsals when all children are in school. It is important that the children know their lines. Please help your child to know their lines and cues if you can please, thank you.
