Oak Class – 1/3/2021

One week left before some semblance of normality for schools. A big well done to those children who have continued to complete all the work assigned for them at home.

This week the writing is based on narrative from the perspective of an explorer of the Mariana trench. Work will include finding out about the creatures that have been discovered and explorations that have happened.

Science will carry on looking at animal adaptations and this week, about deep sea creatures. Art this week will be based around deep sea creature pictures.

Carrying on with the theme of adaptation and evolution, we will also be looking at the effect humans have had on plants and animals.

Maths will continue from the White Rose, which some people are working through at their own rate. Some quicker than others.

Music will follow the Oak Academy lessons and continue to work on rhythm and reading basic music notation.

PE will be a combination of different challenges.

We will be continuing the live reading session each day at 12 midday, reading Beyond the Deepwoods and well done to the regular attenders of that sessions. We should finish this book soon.

We are delaying World Book Day by one week and will celebrate on Thursday 11th March once all of the children have returned to school. Please look out for further updates.
