News from the Head Teacher – 4/11/19

Welcome to the new half term. Once again you will find we are very busy:

To name just one or two events.

If you haven’t bought your tickets for this Friday, please could you see Mrs Beauchamp in the office as soon as possible – even if we have your name it will help with numbers.

This half term, the Board Games Club on Thursday is becoming a Christmas Craft Club. The children who attend will enjoy making wreaths an other interesting decorative pieces. Please let the office know if you wish your child to attend from 3.30 to 4.30.

At Christmas we are performing our version of ‘Scrooge’. Some children have already been given parts and we are expecting them to be learning their lines already. Please help them at home to keep the momentum going in the next few weeks.

All children will have a part and in the next few days they will have scripts to take home

This year Children in Need will take place on Friday 15th November. We have decided that “Smeaton goes Spotty” will be our theme. If children wish to do so, they can come dressed in spots, with a £1 donation going to Children in Need.

Today the children had an exciting assembly from the North Yorkshire Fire Service, focusing on fire safety. The crew arrived in a fire engine and all of the children had great fun.
