News from the Head Teacher – 22/6/2020
I hope you all continue to be safe and well.
This week we welcome two new children into school. Maisie in Year 3 and Thomas in Reception. We are looking forward to seeing them and I am sure we will make them feel very welcome. They are in school as children of Key Workers from Wednesday.
From this week, there are more children in school. We will be operating in two bubbles that will be organised into three groups.
Group One and Two will be one bubble but have two members of staff working in two rooms. Group three will be one group, one bubble.
Group One will have 5 children
Group Two will have 6 children
Group Three will have 8 children
On some days it will be less as some children are not in school full time.
We have organised a supply teacher to help with keeping numbers in groups down and adhering to social distancing guidelines.
In the midst of an ever changing and quite unprecedented world, we have some lovely news. Miss Day is expecting her first baby in November. As we speak, both are fit and healthy. We decided before the 1st June that it would be the most sensible way forward for Miss Day that she worked from home until the end of term.
Miss Day is doing the weekly planning for the Class 1 bubble and still remains available to answer e mails and support your child’s learning.
I am sure you will join myself and the rest of the staff wishing her well. We look forward to seeing her walking down the path with a push chair and beautiful baby.
