News from the Head Teacher – 19/7/2021
Welcome to the last week of term.
This week we say goodbye to our amazing Year 6 children. They will be enjoying their prom on Wednesday evening and |I am sure they will all be looking forward to the special occasion. They are also going on their Year 6 trip to Richmond on Thursday with Mr Goodchild.
We wish them all amazing success in the future. We will miss them all.
On Friday we have our celebration assembly at 1pm. Whilst there is no limit on numbers as we will be hosting it outside, we will continue to remain cautious and arrange people in their own bubbles being respectful of distance from others.
We are also saying goodbye to Mrs Wyer on Friday. She has been in school all term supporting one of our children. She has worked extremely hard for all our children and we will miss her happy smile and laugh around us.
We wish Miss Evans many best wishes and happiness on her wedding day at the end of the month. When we return in September she will be Mrs Newton. She will be responsible for some teaching of the Year 3 and some Year 4 children each morning next year. She will also continue to support children across the school in some intervention work.
As you know, Mr Goodchild is leaving us at the end of the week. Miss Fenwick will take his place in Oak Classroom.
Mr Goodchild will leave a huge hole in the school. His contribution on many levels has been immense and we will all miss his musical abilities, his classroom teaching, his sense of humour and his presence. We wish him well in his soon to be semi-retired state! We hope he finds his new life ‘down south’ all he wants it to be for all his family.
