News from the Head Teacher – 1/3/2021
As we enter the last week when most of our children have been learning at home, it is exciting to think that this time next week we will be a whole school in one building again.
We have decided to have our World Book Day during the week that all children are back in school. We will not be doing things this Thursday then, but watch out for news from staff this week to give the details.
We will be thinking about healthy minds and bodies as a focus as all children come back into school. We will consider how we have been living in such challenging times and the impact it has had on our lives and families.
We welcome a new boy into Year 6 this week. Calvin has moved into the area and will be joining Oak class. I am sure we will all help to make him feel very welcome.
We also welcome Mrs Wyer who will be with us until the end of the academic year. She will be supporting some individual children.
We are also happy to let you know that from the 8th March, Mrs Evans and Mrs Audritt will be in school offering support for children in school. Mrs Evans will be in each Tuesday and Mrs Audritt Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
We are waiting to hear from Kim who delivered Yoga sessions to children last year. We are hoping, once she is able, to incorporate some Yoga as part of the school day to all children.
Our multi-sports sessions will begin after Easter until the end of the summer term. I am aware that families have been expressing interest through Mrs Beauchamp. If I could ask you to let her know as soon as possible to help with the planning.
