News from the Assistant Head Teacher – 9/3/2020

Many thanks to everyone who donated books to be recycled for other children to buy and enjoy. The School Council will continue to organise this for the rest of this week if any more books come into school.

The children enjoyed dressing up, as they usually do, for World Book Day and we were amazed by the variety of costumes creatively made that were connected to books and stories. Well done to the children and those who helped them.

The weather remained glorious for our outdoor day on Friday and the children were able to complete several activities outside without getting too muddy or wet or cold! The activities included, team building games, a natural art activity, tower building (problem solving), an assault course, whittling sticks and toasting and eating marshmallows.

Multi-sports is cancelled today after school.

There will be guitar club this week on Tues 9th.

Yoga will be on Wednesday 11th.

We continue to follow advice and guidance from Government and the Local Authority in regards to the Covid-19 outbreak by insisting the children wash their hands thoroughly when they come into school and regularly during the school day. This is good practice in regards to the prevention of spreading any virus or infection and should be part of their routine anyway.
