Mrs Newton 04/04/2022

I hope you all have had a lovely weekend.

Last week, Acorn class continued their discussions around the NSPCC Pants Rule.  The children can now confidently express that their body belongs to them.

I am incredibly proud of how the Year Five and Year Six children have behaved towards their puberty topic in the past couple of weeks. Every single child behaved with amazing levels of maturity and followed our ground rules impeccably. Although some children expressed some worries towards some of the changes that will happen during puberty, they were able to discuss these in a safe environment by asking appropriate questions to increase their knowledge around the subject. Some questions were also placed in the ‘Ask it Basket’ which have been answered in small groups or as a class.

Well done to all of the children!
