Class 2 – 25/3/19
In English we are beginning to write in diary format, using “I”. The children will be creating descriptive sentences featuring the setting, action and characters from their story. The story includes a very rich vocabulary, using specific words for parts of the castle, they will also be identifying and using simile and metaphor.
Spellings for Year 4 are those with prefixes; circ, tele and trans.
Year 3 spellings are homophones.
In Maths the 24 hour clock will be used to show the time at railway stations, bus stations and air-ports. The children will be calculating the passage of time using timetables.
Y3 will be reading analogue and digital clocks, finding new times using before and after.
In Topic we will be exploring how life in a Norman castle was for the different people who lived there.
